Mango tree is a Indian tandoori and Chinese restaurant in JP Nagar 7th Phase. Since my wife wanted to have naan and this place is a stone throw away from my house so we went there for dinner. The restaurant is an open air restaurant and the best ambiance you will get in the evening. There is a big parking space and a nice bar as well.

My previous experience with this restaurant had not been so well, I always felt the menu was expensive and food and service not up to the mark, so mostly I took takeaway from this place.

But this time I had a very good experience. Firstly it was not crowded and also the food and service was really good and the waiter and the service manager were courteous. This time we had ordered butter naan, mix subz kadhai , biriyani and fried honey ice cream for dessert. And all items were served quickly and the proportions were enough for three people.

The naan was really soft and very delicious, the subz kadhai had veggies and paneer and tasted nich and mild. The combined taste though towards sweeter side and despite being rich didn't feel too heavy and did not saturate my palate. We ordered chicken biriyani which was more like a dum biriyani and spicy but the combination of curd raita and the spicy biriyani made my day. The combination was great and after mashing boiled egg it took my taste buds to the next level.

Finally we ordered fried honey ice cream which when served looked like deep fried crispy balls caramelised in honey. The over overall look just bought water in my mouth. The crunchy flavour on the outside tasted like corn flakes and the ice cream was vanilla ice cream but the surprise was the hard center which tasted of dates and pistachio.

Overall we had a good dinner and enjoyed our food thoroughly.
